Almost always, yes. Building Consent Authorities will not approve a foundation design without ground information to back it up, and NZS 3604 standard solutions only apply on “good ground”. It is the most common reason a submission cannot start.
When you submit a project you can drop a pin on a map instead. We take the GPS coordinates from the pin, which is often more precise than an address for a bare site or a rear lot.
The clock starts when we have a complete submission — all required documents uploaded and the fee paid. Incomplete submissions are moved to “Awaiting client information” and we tell you exactly what is missing.
